According to Kevin O'Conner -
The Celtics have offered their three first round picks to try and move up in the Draft
What a stupid boneheaded move.
There's really not a game changer like in drafts past
If anything - you take those 3 picks and package them with one of your players to try and get stud (i.e. already a star in the league) in there to run next to Tatum/Kemba
Oof.

Who is going to give away a stud for picks in a garbage draft? The trade actually makes sense for both sides if there's a rebuilding team that needs picks. The Celtics have plenty of guys they can try to package if they want proven talent, what they don't need is multiple picks.

you didn't read my post properly
I stated 3 picks and a player
Let's say you added Jaylen Brown or Marcus Smart to the 3 first round picks
Intriguing now isn't it?
You need a stud to put next to Tatum and Kemba

Also - rumor has it you want to dump Hayward
There's a big salary dump there -
So the three picks, Hayward, Brown or Smart
That should get you a really nice piece to put next to Tatum/Kemba

Per RealGM.com
The NBA is considering adding a 2nd patch for sponsorship on jerseys
It's a smart move with all the money they've lost

Yes I did. Three picks and an average player aren't going to be a enough for a team to give away a 'stud.' But a rebuilding team might appreciate multiple draft picks and a player for their own high pick in a weak draft, so you focus there. If the C's really love a guy, this is a low risk/high reward move. Also, lol at your proposal. "Throw in two of your best players with a few draft picks and maybe you'll have someone to replace the two players you just gave away." The two guys you mentioned are the best glue guys on the team. High character competitors with high basketball IQs that do all of the little things. Brown is quietly one of the most complete players out there. Have you seen his contract? He's not a throw in type of player in a trade. I don't think either of those guys is untouchable, but you better be getting a serious haul in return.

Define stud. What player is going to bring everything those two guys brought and not infringe on the superstar trajectory of Tatum? I think you have to move Kemba. He's at best their third best player, he's injury prone and he was virtually useless in the playoffs. Brown and Smart do more than just score the ball, getting rid of them for another volume shooter doesn't make a ton of sense, even in today's NBA. They could just draft one of those. I want to know who you think they could get in return for that package, and why it would make sense for both sides.

I'm betting you could get Rudy Gobert for my suggested package

I wouldn't want him for that price. And I don't think Sabonis is going anywhere.

So you admit it's a good package that could net a stud
Pacers might be willing to listen - apparently Oladipo is as good as gone
Maybe they'd be willing to rebuild with 3 first rounders and a nice young player like Brown

They're willing to trade all 3 picks just to move up in a weak draft
That's a waste of assets right there
3>1
A smarter move would be to package them with one of your players to get a proven player to put next to Tatum/Kemba
If they don't get another above average player - they're going nowhere again - that team is stuck in the worst possible scenario
They're not abysmal so they can start from scratch and rebuild - but they're not considered Championship material either
They need to make a big move.
