For my turquoise metallic tree (36"), I'm getting 14 gold glitter bubble lights. And for my champagne metallic tree (36"), I'm going to have 13 C7 teal frosted LED bulbs and 12 C7 warm white frosted LED bulbs, to be fitted out on a dimmer. I've never had LED lights before, but the dimmer should temper any unwelcome harshness. It should be Gay Heaven.
I would have loved to squeeze some pink into the scene, but all the online stores only carry a hot pink and I don't care for that shade. It's too strong. I prefer a pale, Easter bunny pink.
If I do balls, there will be red for the turquoise and maybe mercury pink for the champagne. I like tinsel very much, but it's messy.

After descriptions like that, you simply must post pictures.

When I get the lights and decorations (I think there should be at least a few decorations.) I will absolutely take pictures and post them online. I've never used LED lights before and was a little hesitant before deciding on them. I know when I first became really aware of them, they hurt my eyes. The ones I saw were always a blueish-white. But teal and white opaque lights are what I really want, and then having the dimmer should make it work out well. I am hoping! My two favorite things about Christmas are all the lights and new snow.

After descriptions like that, you simply must post pictures. I can't tell if you're being serious or not, but if the trees look nice, sure. My interior designer friend really schooled me on Christmas tree lights. I think I already had a handle on color, but Jeffrey's influence could only have enhanced. And Jeffrey was definitely the one responsible for explaining to me everything I know about the lights themselves. I like the minis, but I REALLY like the C7 size. And when I was looking around online and came across the gold glitter bubble lights, I thought I was gonna die! I am so susceptible to lighting and this was more than I ever could have dreamed about! Lol! They had silver glitter bubble lights, too, and I reasoned between the two, but settled for the gold lights as blues can have a tendency to be a little coolish. My darling friend Jeffrey, I'll never forget him explaining with the utmost attention to detail. He himself owned an artificial tree (42") and his deal with the lights was always "Four cobalts, three greens and one yellow to give it heat!" A little bit of tinsel and he was done. I think I want some red balls and pink balls for not only a little color, but also because the small, circular shapes will set off the larger, triangular tree nicely. But I loved Jeffrey's passion. Back in the 90s, before I knew him, he appeared in Time Out as one of Chicago's ten most up and coming young interior designers.
