You then load up on offensive line protection for Hurtsy
Recipe for a Dynasty.

That’s the only place you’ll get a 1 and 3 for Wentzy, in your imagination.

NFL will probably block the replay of this - but did you see Hurts first completion?
He didn't even hesitate - empty backfield - rifled it right in there threading the needle

Take a breath, he’s not Tom Brady yet. He’s not even Marcia Brady yet.

There's no way anybody is giving up a 1st round pick for Wentz. Let alone a 1st with anything else. If they're moving on from Wentz they'll probably be releasing him.

I actually think that relatively the NFL is handling things pretty well. They always knew there would be outbreaks here and there, but if they take the right measures they can isolate, quarantine, and contact trace and they can still keep the league going.
There was no avoiding positive tests, but they've taken the right steps to handle it so it doesn't end the season.

Obviously - Trevor Lawrence will be the first QB picked. Let's say the remaining 2 teams draft a QB as well -
Leaves the door open for the rest of the league
Teams I can see wanting to trade for a veteran QB as opposed to starting completely over and taking a shot in the dark on the 4th best QB prospect in the Draft (in no particular order)
1. Falcons (it's been a nice career there but it's over)
2. Lions (see Matt Ryan above)
3. Panthers (if they're not happy with Bridgewater by the end of the year) 4. Raiders (see Lions and Falcons - Carr hasn't taken them anywhere)
5. Vikings (the Cousins experiment has failed 6. Colts (the Rivers experiment is a failure) 7. 49ers (the Jimmy G experiment has failed) 8. Broncos (who's Brett Rypien?)
That's just off the top of my head

Question, frogs. Birds have the 1 pick. Take Trevor Lawrence or trade the pick for assets to build around Hurtsy?
Or take Lawrence and keep Hurtsy?

Yeah, some teams need a QB. Every single one of them would be more likely to spend their 1st round pick on a prospect than a guy who's already a disappointment with a glass skeleton.

But -
It's intriguing though what you could get for that #1 pick
Maybe we could get a Godfather offer - numerous 1st round picks for just moving down a few spots as well as possibly a solid player in return like an offensive lineman
I've always been one that thinks it all starts up front with a tremendous O-Line. Peters is shot and has been for years. Johnson isn't getting any younger nor is Kelce. Who knows what type of player Brooks is going to be once he returns from his injury. I've always loved the idea of loading up on offensive lineman.

Yeah - but notice I said I can see the top 3 teams - i.e. Jets, Giants, Washington taking prospects in the drafts
It's a very weak class for QBs coming out depending on what you read/listen to/watch -
Lawrence - Clemson Fields - Ohio State Lance - North Dakota State Trask - Florida Wilson - BYU
I can definitely see one of the above teams I mentioned - who still consider themselves contenders for a playoff spot - willing to take a shot on Wentz. He was having an MVP year the Super Bowl year before he went down. He played incredibly well the last half of last year taking them to the playoffs. This year has been a letdown so far; however his O-Line is decimated as well as his receiving corps - and his top RB Sanders was out the first game. Yes - all teams go through these issues - just pointing out it hasn't all been on Wentz

Sure. Still not gonna be worth 1st rounder to anyone.

It washes through all the teams, temporary immunity occurs, then all the teams finish the season having already had Covid.
