Son of Ingagi (1940) - 7/10. I seem to be the only person who likes this 62-minute low-budget African-American horror film. I found it very relaxing. It's like the "Guy Lombardo" of horror films.
The Girl from Chicago (1932) - 5/10. Good script, horrible direction, awful acting. I give it 5 stars only because of my respect for those trying to produce African-American cinema at the time. The film is 70 minutes but seemed to go on for ages.
Twist Around the Clock (1961) - 7.5/10 - Is this a good film? Was more than 5-minutes spent writing the script? Does the plot make sense? Does any of this really matter? I enjoyed the film for what it was....a cheap cash-in into the "twist" craze, which now serves a purpose as a retro artifact.
Heck, here are the other films I watched yesterday: Wrecking Crew (1942) - 7/10. This film has three reviews on IMDb, two very negative, and one positive one. It has a rating of 6.8/10, which is fairly positive for a b-movie. Well, I enjoyed it, though I admit the script is extremely dumb at times. The film concerns two demolition men, who both fall in love with the same woman. Meanwhile, the demolition firm they work for is struggling, and one of the two men is considered a jinx. Drama ensues. The cast includes nobody really famous but does feature people who appeared in a lot of films.
An Elephant Never Forgets (1935) - 7/10. Cute little 7-minute cartoon, but nothing special. I bet this was played a billion times on TV during the second half of the 20th century. It no doubt amused the kiddies.
I'm planning to watch a bunch of 1930s cartoons during the next few weeks. I love 1930s cartoons.

Apollo 13 (1995) 6/10 Had not seen it since 1998, and it did not do much for me, but all in all a decent drama film Memento (2000) 7/10 Never been a big fan of Nolan, but gotta give the guy some credit, his Batman films really were a game changer for the super hero franchise, and none of his other stuff have been bad either, but this one was just not my kind of a film, even though it had a solid cast. Lies somewhere just between a 6,5/10 and a very kind 7/10 The Gathering (2002) 4/10 A smoking Christina Ricci with her lovely funbags, bouncing all over the place, is the only real reason to watch this below average b-movie that tries too hard to be clever/original, but just fails most of the time. Probably a 3/10 but again, Ricci alone puts it one above to 4/10

Tops (1969) - 9/10. This 7-minute short film consists entirely of spinning tops. It sounds dull based on that description, but this is one of the most charming films I've ever seen. It is quite beautiful to look at.
Man About the House (1974) - 7/10. Not a great film, but it's a decent 86-minute comedy film based on the TV sitcom. Actually, the sitcom is much better than the film (contrary to popular belief, film is not automatically better than TV. I've seen some truly terrible films based on great TV series).
Between Showers (1914) - 7.5/10. Delightfully low-brow 14-minute comedy film.

I would have replied sooner but I had to learn to use the blind feedback stuff in my browser, what with having washed my eyes out with bleach.

1 feature and two shorts:
Death Goes to School (1953) - 7/10. A nice little 62-minute crime drama, very relaxing to watch. It's the kind of film where everyone speaks perfect english, the rooms are all spotlessly clean and everyone is wearing neat clothes.
Grand Slam Opera (1936) - 7.5/10. Amusing comedy short film, running 20 minutes and starring Buster Keaton.
A Film Johnnie (1914) - 7.5/10. Amusing 12-minute comedy short film starring Charlie Chaplin, who hadn't quite found his style yet.
