What do you all think? I am not extremely optimistic. Lets see. There is a very very low chance of someone new finding this board (like all of us did at different times).

It already has achieved that. With AJ June becoming a global moderator. And Me and Pimpin becoming Full members.

I meant will it hold the interest of everyone who is already here for long? Things might get too stagnant and people might lose interest and wander off.
btw, congrats to Aj June. Thats quite an honor. Atleast kezia and her gym instructor cant come here and 'kick us hard'.
And how do I reply to a particular post here? Absence of nested thread will take all the fun out on epic argument threads.

mummersfarce I hope so but can't tell. Ultimately it is ProBoards who owns it and can shut down if the content regularly breaches their guidelines and standards. I am happy that so many people migrated here on ICB and RFS forum from where 56 people made the transition.

The category order should ideally be "Movies", "TV series", "General Boards", "Contribute and Help". I think you guys need to merge a few boards and limit the number of sub boards under movies/TV series to 5 each. And other 5 should be reserved for franchises or a specific TV series. Having name of a specific TV series/franchise would bring in more people than having classic, cult, horror categories etc. Anyways you can put it to poll and ask the users if they prefer a modification from the good ol' IMDb categorization.

I hope it does. There are users over at TheMovieDB calling out this place for being an inferior website. I hope they get proved wrong. I mean they have thousands of emojis which all suck compared to the original IMDb ones and trying to change your avatar is like trying to climb Mount Fuji. IMDb2 forever!

Thanks. I will put the suggestions to admin (especially about the order of boards). Polling is something he might do time to time. There might be a poll soon about inclusion and exclusion of certain boards.

I agree that the "main boards" page needs some work, but there is no unanimous opinion on how it should be organized. For the time being, I think it's best not to stray too far from IMDb's layout.

Admin Few others have also enquired about the number of threads on each page. Could that be increased a bit?

Admin Few others have also enquired about the number of threads on each page. Could that be increased a bit? Seems to me that the pagination controls would render this a moot point, but sure, I'll increase it. It's at 20 now. It can be increased to either 25 or 30, which is the maximum. Pick one so I can redirect all the complaints about the pages being too long to you.

Adminhahaha....But I think 25 should be good. On the sports board lots of topics can emerge in just an hour. Ex- When European soccer time comes up, soccer threads can take over and so can American sports threads at other times. People will appreciate if their thread is available on the first page.
