The ending of Chinatown feels less fantastical the more I watch it.

Well, in that case... Thelma and Louise Aileen: The Life and Death of a Serial KillerThe second one much more so than the first one. That GD SS movie really just made me mad at the people I saw it with. But it's a good topic. I will post some more mad movies when I think of them.

"One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" definitely made me mad.
Nurse Ratched is loathsome from the start. But the last 15 minutes invoke, in the words of Tangina... the beast
I'll just say that if there was any fairness in the world, Aileen would have been allowed to live the rest of her life in a "cuckoo's nest", and... what all those men did to Aileen they would have, instead... done to Nurse Ratched.

"Thelma and Louise" starred Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon. I also thought it was goddamn hateful movie. Like as in Nazi Germany. Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon = GD SS = Goddamn Schutzstaffel Aren't you glad you asked?

Dancer in the Dark is a magnificent display of despair, persecution and injustice. The movie is as sad and as maddening as any movie I have ever seen.
This is high praise btw.

I had a similar reaction to both "Titanic", "Dancer in the Dark" and "The Matrix". These movies pissed me off so much I got angry. I haven't seen "Mother", but I can understand your antipathy towards Aronofsky. I did not care for "Requiem for a Dream" a bit. Ellen Burstyn gave a good performance and that was it for me. Titanic was fun for me to watch as a technical achievement, it is now fun to watch for how waterlogged it is.
Dancer In The Dark impacts upon me deeply, but I can understand why many won't connect with it.
The Matrix has some interesting ideas and themes, just the presentation I find frustrating. Its not the film that people make it out to be.
I like Requiem For A Dream, always have and I usually don't like this sort of film. Burstyn should have won the Oscar over Roberts.
There have been many films that have made me annoyed at them for just being bad, but when I watched Gorillas In The Mist - 88' last night, the anger I felt towards the poachers, yet deep empathy at the same time, really got to me. I had forgotten how good this film was and Sigourney Weaver doesn't set a foot wrong here.

To us....it is the beast!"
That punishment would be worse than death. The Beast, I mean Ratched, would still devour them.

Many classic moments in this classic film.

I second Mystic River, and The House of Sand and Fog. Another is Atonement. Three great films. Heart breaking. I'll add 'We were Soldiers', great film, don't be afraid to explore the extra content.

Hope (2013), this Korean movie about a little girl that is raped. It's very distressing and the ending (while based on a true story) is infuriating.
Danny DeVito's "who cares?" speech in Other People's Money and the fact that people actually think like that really shocked and annoyed me as a teen.
