Considering that the Battlestar Galactica series was the reason I joined the original imdb, this is not looking good. I was hoping someone would make a new series with a better ending than the one that drove me onto the boards to let out my frustration and anger.

I’m actually surprised that there has never been a theatrical Battlestar Galactica movie.

Ha I re-watched it the other week. They use bubble wrap as a set decoration for one scene.
The FX are movie quality-and they improve on some of the FX for Star Wars with camera movements, but there's a lot of cheapness to it. It was shown in Canada and Europe not the US. I think I saw the Buck Rogers pilot at a drive-in too.

So you're getting the director of one of the most forgettable superhero movies in the last decade to create a movie of one of the best sci-fi shows in the last decade?
Sure, what could go wrong?

I was surprised the BG pilot had no Lucifer and Baltar was (implied) killed. The strength of it was the cast--as a Star Wars ripoff the cast helped a lot, Lorne Greene, also Richard Hatch and Dirk Benedict. As the poor man's Luke and Han they were competent enough. And Maran Jensen. Maybe it is about time I watched Deadly Blessing and see what the spider in the mouth was all about.

You mean you were not satisfied with BG ripping off numerous Twilight Zone episodes for their finale? Next you'll say you thought all the scary evil present day "robots" foreshadowing was painfully cringe worthy. Beep beep boop I am a robotic arm who some day will become a Cylon. Be afraid beep beep. I successfully predicted the ending to BSG about 30 minutes into the pilot.

NEVER watched The Twilight Zone?!!!! And you call yourself a horror and sci fi fan? Heresy. Surely you didn't think the "twist" of the BSG crew landing on and basically becoming some of the first inhabitants of spoilers spoilers spoilers spoilers earth was in any way original at all? Like I said I predicted the ending while watching the pilot. You were the one who said you were frustrated and angry about the way the show ended. I simply was agreeing with you so why are you acting like a bitch about it now? Make up your mind.
