Andrew Stevens was adorable. Though I can never picture him getting together with my favorite Angel. Unless it was for certain, ummm, semi-obvious reasons. You mean Sabrina? Yes

It was a publicity stunt, pretty darn obvious and a pretty boy like Stevens, any gay rumors would have to be quashed. "Normalcy" must prevail at any cost.

Everybody seems to be doing their own thing.

Everybody seems to be doing their own thing. It a mix of styles and genre's. Promoted as a scary movie, but like an action thriller which messes up the hectic tone of the film. It is unique nonetheless and something that Scanners borrowed from, one of Cronenberg's better earlier productions, but that one manages to retain its science fiction horror tone without going too far astray.
Now, if only De Palma had the budget he worked with on The Fury for Carrie.

I especially love her characters in "The Fury" and "The Attic". The latter one I feel so sorry for her. Ray Milland did a really good job later in his career playing sour, cantankerous old geezers. He always looked one bowel movement away from the blue bird of happiness. I should watch The Attic again. It was so good! Ray Milland was a really good looking and great actor back in the day. He was also a raging alcoholic. I remember seeing him in a horror movie that took place in the swamp. It was called Frogs, and it was TERRIBLE! My friends and I saw it in a drive-in back '72. So sad that he was making cheap horror movies! Made another one with Rosie Grier call The Thing with Two Heads. It was so cheesy!! Such a shame. Milland was such a talent. I forget that he had been a good-looking man. The first movie I ever saw of his was "Dial 'M' for Murder" and I loved it. This was also my first Hitchcock movie. I am a big fan of RM's. Though I kind of prefer latter Ray to earlier Ray. I just recently watched both "Frogs" and "The Thing with Two Heads". I like "Frogs" pretty well, but I LOVE "Thing"! At just 79 minutes, it's a fast paced, tightly plotted AIP charmer. And you gotta love Rosey Grier. He is the warmest, sweetest, most adorable teddy bear ever. Also, and most importantly, "Thing" is HILARIOUS! So many great lines and scenes. Like after surgery, when Rosey first wakes up and finds himself cheek to cheek with Ray, he asks in a panic... "What's going on here? What did you guys do to me?" Ray answers in a very slow, tired voice... "We are temporarily joined together at the head!" That's some precious dialogue.

Just FYI. No biggie. But her name is Snodgress, not "grass." I do remember her fondly from the late '70s-early '80s. She passed in 2004.

All this time I've been saying I'm such a fan while calling her the wrong name! Sorry, Carrie! Thank you for bringing it to my attention. I do appreciate it!

I've made plenty of blunders myself but the grand people on these boards have always gone easy on me.

She died not long after her appearance in the movie Wild Things. As the unofficial guardian of Neve Campbell's character (just guessing), she was good. Especially when divulging some dirt on Kevin Bacon's character.
