Also it's tough to tell where you actually stand on Franklin/ Penn State because you were mocking them in a thread recently, now you're acting like the coach should be fired because they lost one game. So are you an overreacting fan or are you still joking? Either way, Franklin is the right man for the job in my opinion. He's a second tier coach for what right now is a second tier program. Name a better coach who you think would leave their current post for Penn State. And by the way - I despise Penn State.

But maybe you're right - maybe I need to have some patience - it's only been 7 or so years now - we were told Penn State was going from 'Great' to 'Elite'.

He went to some shitty division three college that nobody has ever heard of before, not just from an athletic standpoint but from an educational standpoint. For the record, I also like Penn State football. I have no affiliation to the school whatsoever, it's one of those teams that was always on tv and I gravitated toward them as a fan of the game. I think Franklin is a good coach, and I don't have a problem with his rant in that clip you keep posting. He's putting pressure on himself to succeed, and while I'd agree they've fallen short of being elite, tristram pointed out how short that list truly is.
I have no idea if Franklin is on the hot seat or not. Personally I think most programs of Penn State's caliber should get a pass for this year, unless stuff really goes sideways and they lose six games or something.

Clemson gets to play high school teams until the playoffs so even their eliteness isn't proven until the regular season is over. I wonder how badly they will throttle notre dame and will they get to do it twice?
