It appears as if The National Title aspirations and even making the Playoff Final 4 Dreams are over this year folks. Trying to figure out which Bowl Game the Nitts will go to. Could it be yet another Outback or Citrus Bowl designated for Bridesmaids? Although - those appear to be lofty goals at this point The Nitts still have Ohio State, Michigan and Michigan State on their schedule There appears to a bowl game this year entitled - The Guaranteed Rate Bowl Dec. 28th Chase Field Phoenix, Arizona 10:15pm Between the ugly ready headed step children from the Big 10 and Big 12 This could be a possibility for the Nitts and their legion of cult members hopin' to go 'Bowlin' this year  |

'James Franklin has twice said in his current zoom conference call, when asked about distraction of his future being in the news, that his focus is on Illinois. Welp. It looks like the wheels have fallen off folks. Hopefully the Nitts can make an appearance at the UHAUL Cheeze-It Bowl this year vs. Akron on December 12th at 3am in the morning in Wyoming played at a local community college in front of 2 fans We'll get em next year Nittany Nation - I'm sure next year is the year |

Penn State is my default College team I'm not an Alumni but went to a game with some friends in 2013 (epic whiteout game against Michigan in 2013) and was sold. Anyway this is a hilariously stupid move like you said Franklin had done nothing to deserve such a contract and 10 freaking years? wtf?

Winning the Big 10 Title once every 6 years or so is important!
They're just protecting themselves from him from going to USC, LSU and Florida (who's been rumored since firing Mullen) and making them National Title Contenders again since they're such huge rivals! Can you imagine the egg on their face if their rivals won the Natty with Jimmy?
Because you know -
All 3 of those Universities play in the Big 10 and they don't want to be haunted by him for the next 10 years winning National Title after National Title! What an embarrassment that would be! Jimmy rolling into Happy Valley every other year with a title under his belt.
We have to give Jimmy a chance!
It's going to happen any year now!

Penn State finishes with a winning record and will play in a bowl game: "Bums." Phillies miss the playoffs: "What an exciting season, it's all about building for next year!" Seems to me Brycie has done for the Phillies the same thing Franklin has done for Penn State.

Epic Numerous worthy universities left in the cold as a 7-5 team is rewarded with a New Years Day Bowl Game vs. a Top 25 Team This is like allowing the Yankees into the playoffs just because they're the Yankees Sure - let's just put the Lakers in the Finals because we'll profit monetarily over it - when there's a ton more teams more deserving  Can't wait to watch the Razorbacks win 62-3
