Trailer for director Ron Howard's latest movie. Has "Oscar Bait" written all over it, but looks like a good showcase for Glenn Close and Amy Adams.

I hope they both are nominated at the Oscars. They have 13 nominations between them. I'm guessing Glenn Close is now the unluckiest actress in Oscar history with 7 nominations and no win, while Amy Adams now has 6 nominations.
Amy Adams with Graham Norton
Amy Adams with Glenn Close's former neighbour Seth Meyers
Amy Adams still with Glenn Close's former neighbour Seth Meyers

She said some pretty poor taste comments about not understanding why Gwyneth Paltrow won an Oscar for “Shakespeare in Love”. Whether she’s right or wrong about this assessment, it’s not right to talk about other actresses that way. It’s petty. It’s not Paltrows fault Glenn Close hasn’t won an Oscar.

Well, she didn't say "It's not fair that Gwyneth has won and I haven't;" she said "There was another performance that year that I thought was batter than Gwyneth. I guess I don't understand the voting process."

Here in Europe, there are prominent figures in cinema who frequently rip each other a new one. Ingmar Bergman used to be the grand dame of underhand sideswipes and was matched in Hollywood by Orson Welles, another master of the back-handed compliment.

I see your point about "Oscar bait" but I've heard the book it's based upon struck a chord with many. Director Ron Howard worked with Glenn Close on 'The Paper' (1994).
