back. I haven't had a haircut since March. I couldn't stand it any more. I cut it into a shag, longest layers just touching my shoulders, then layers feathered in. No bang. I feel ten pounds lighter, and it took me no time to dry and style. Yay me.

Congrats, TOP! Did you lose enough hair to make a wig?

Congrats, TOP! Did you lose enough hair to make a wig? Probably a short one. I bagged the excess hair. But I'll probably just throw it out. It's a lot of of hair.

I keep my hair short and layered. When it gets "too" long, and I have it cut, I feel years younger.

She's doing it outside, and doing cuts only. Come with your hair wet. I'm not comfortable doing that. At least I can cut it myself, but would rather not. It's amazing how different a haircut does for your appearance

My hair is about shoulder length and I have not cut it since February. I can do the cut by myself. Now I'm conflicted. It has been nice to have it so long I can just put it up

It has been nice to have it so long I can just put it up I can still pull most of it up, so it's good. But it was just so long, very thick, took forever to blow dry and flat iron, and then it just hung there. I was doing a French braid, and ponytails, but it's still a pain. I have never gone this long without a haircut. I've been cutting my husband's hair since this started.

It would feel so healthy. Mine is not thick any longer I'm thinking. Lol You may inspire me

I figured if mine turned out bad, at least I wouldn't have to look at it.

About a month ago I was so sick of the ends I trimmed them. Lol I am thinking.

One of the benefits of cutting the COVID-long hair, is that it's so much easier to wash, dry, comb and maintain.
I think we were all getting that super long COVID hair, and at some point, we all will reach a point where we get it cut. It's interesting how many of us are cutting it ourselves. A close friend of mine does the same thing, show up with wet hair, wear a mask, she wears a mask and shield and only cuts hair outside, no drying, etc. One client at a time, no one waiting, etc.

I just know with my luck, I'm going to get COVID-19 if I do. You do see a lot of interesting haircuts, though! I have to cut my husband's hair this weekend.

I learned how to shave my own head in my skinhead days. I never did "bald" but always left like a 1/4 inch. So that's what I've been doing for the last 6 months since I'm not comfortable going to the barber yet. Guess you have a set of clippers and blades. They take a while to master. So glad we have them or my husband would look like a terrorist. I have two sets of each, but I like the one set over the other. It has more control. And, of course, a trimmer.

Even I'm not that retarded though. When I was a young child, we had a bunch of cousins staying with us during the Summer. My father decided to give all the boys a haircut and save some money. Four boy cousins and my brother. The clippers were those manual jobs. Needless to say, they all got step haircuts! They would bust his chops for years after they grew up about that! He was probably drunk, too, when he did it!

I had to look up "manual clippers" because I don't think I've ever seen anything besides scissors. Damn. I forget what my mom used when I was a kid but I'm pretty sure it was electric. Though maybe not.
Yep. That's the culprit!
