Inspired by the thread about favourite celebrity chefs, I thought about all the TV cooks I don't like.
Katie Brown...if you’ve never heard of her, so much the better. Gordon Ramsey...nuff said. Nigella Lawson...pretentious twit. Jamie Oliver...I don’t dislike him, just find him boring.

I've never watched, except way back - the French Chef, the Galloping Gourmet. Ramsay is always insanely nasty in promos.

Gordon Ramsey...nuff said. The only time I watched a show of his was one episode of the children's version of Master Chef, and he came across surprisingly likeable interacting with kid contestants.

I cannot think of a single one I dislike. I hear things about Gordon Ramsey but I never watch him so I know nothing firsthand. I have been watching cooking shows nearly all my life and have found all of their hosts to be pleasant and fun to watch. I especially liked the Galloping Gourmet.

I don't remember if I read it somewhere or if I heard him interviewed and it was said that his crankiness is all an act. On the other hand, if you're working with professional chefs (Hell's Kitchen) and they burn your kitchen down - you have every reason to yell. He's much better with amateurs.

Jaimie and Giada. I live fast, I love cooking. I do not cook on cocaine.
Rachel Ray and yes, Ramsay (the home versions in UK).Also Flay when just grilling. That's the pace, I learn from them, slowly lol

Gordon Ramsey...nuff said. The only time I watched a show of his was one episode of the children's version of Master Chef, and he came across surprisingly likeable interacting with kid contestants. Ramsay is a jerk on American cooking shows, everywhere else he's straightforward and personable. Whether he's a jerk in private I don't know.
Someone mentioned Giada De Laurentiis, never understood the hate towards her which mostly comes from women in my experience who like to make fun of her forehead. She seems super nice, is really sexy but doesn't play it up, and every dish of hers I've made has been delicious. I really enjoy her style of cooking.
I think it's worth pointing out that some people mentioned, like Ree Drummond (journalist), Nigella Lawson (linguist), Paula Deen (restaurateur), Guy Fieri (restaurateur), aren't chefs. People who met Guy Feiri in person told met he is a legit nice human being but I don't know him. I mostly only watch trained chefs, not because foodies can't teach me anything but because I don't know enough to weed out who knows what.

Funny you should say that. I really liked Gordon Ramsey back when I first discovered his original British show on BBCAmerica. I watched every episode I could. Then I watched the premier of Hell's Kitchen in America and something was just off. His ranting and raving went up tenfold. I hated it actually and haven't bothered to watch even a few minutes of it since. The original British 'Parking Wars' which was called Clampers was better than the American show too. Americans have nothing on those Europeans who would completely melt down and flip out. 😅
Same with Trading Spaces with that cute/sexy Scottish chick Carol as host. Don't like the American version.
I don't like Bobby Flay or Martha Stewart at all.
