I was too young to remember the original movie trailer, but I sure do remember the trailer for the second one! I wonder if has anything to do with the fact that sometimes I find myself preferring JAWS 2 over JAWS. Anyway, I sure do miss those old movie trailers they would show on tv constantly! They don't do that anymore.

They don't do that anymore. I recall both trailers, yet Jaws 2 -78' is the one I saw first. Never got to see Jaws - 75' until around 1980 on a re-release.
Jaws is the more reverential film in terms of film-making. Jaws 2 wasn't bad at all either considering Spielberg wasn't at the helm and it still managed to give the audience suspense and thrills. I also prefer Williams score in the second one. I think too, especially since I was kid when watching Jaws 2 and a few years older for Jaws, that Jaws 2 was easier to relate to character wise, being about a bunch of kids.
