I guess a lot of Tampa Bay Rays fans are not happy with him tonight for taking out his team's starting pitcher in Game 6.

He’s not going to be fired. Cash has done a good job with the Rays. They are nowhere near the Dodgers talent wise and took them to six games, with their best player, Brandon Lowe, doing little. And the future is bright, even with having the Yankees and Red Sox in the division. He made a blunder that will be second guessed all winter. Most managers in the playoffs did the same. It’s the common school of thought today and it’s wrong

Yeah, I think that the Tampa Bay Rays will be back next season.

When they asked every Dodger about seeing Blake Snell pulled they couldn't help but grin. 5 1/3 innings, 73 pitches, 48 for strikes, 2 singles allowed (3rd and 6th innings), no runs allowed until Anderson gave up a double and wild-pitched Barnes in.

Yeah, I saw Dave Roberts talk about it in his Post-Game Press conference.

Hindsight is ALWAYS 20-20 (no pun intended).
And, I agree. In monetary value, Tampa Bay had about 1/8 of the value of the Dodgers. They did bloody well to get to 6 games.
Kevin Cash will be back.

Cash is a very good manager, with the top of the order coming up, I can understand the decision. Although, Snell was pitching so well, I probably would have left him in for one more batter or a lead change.

Not to overthink it, but there has to be an uplifting psychological effect there. Snell is a proven ace and he's on his A-game. As a batter, you know when a guy is on and how tough it will be to break through. Then, just like that, your opposition hands you a gift. Short of the Rays putting in Henry Rowengartner, I'm licking my chops if I'm on the Dodgers at that point.

Same thing happened last year in Game 7. Zach Greinke was having a good game, one hit, erased by a DP, through 7. He gives up a HR and AJ Hinch yanks him. And the Astros bullpen implodes. Yeah, it was in the 7th but Greinke had only thrown 80 pitches. And the Astros had a 2-1 lead. Would the Rays have lost anyway, possibly. Eventually, Snell is coming out of that game. And the Rays bullpen was fried. He leaves Snell in the game and watches Betts pop a 3 run homer and its a mirror argument "Why was Snell still pitching. he knows how bad pitchers do the third time through the lineup!" But it's beyond me why managers still do this fucked up pitching management in the postseason. Alex Cora kept going to an ineffectual Craig Kimbrel too early in 2018 (never really cost the Sox).
