Why do I doubt he's ever actually seen any of those? It just looks like a generic favorite movie list that could've been written by a computer. That's kind of what I thought..."Movies that tough guys are supposed to like" or something like that. Plus with the run time of most of them, he doesn't have the attention span to sit still that long. If his review of CK is any indication, he seems to identify with Charles Foster Kane. When he was asked what piece of advice he would give the character, he said that it would be to “find a different woman”, even though the whole point of the story is that Kane is responsible for his own misery. He also seems to have been inspired by the character’s threats of jailing his political opponent.

At this point in time, Donald Trump could run into a burning building to save a baby, and some folks would complain that it was his fault that the building was on fire.
Anyways, I do believe he has actually seen the movies that he says that he enjoys.

I like how he picks movies that generally all of us here like so the next step is to just say “Actually I bet he’s never even watched these movies.”
Must be tiresome working so hard to hate a man for any reason imaginable.

Taken from a 2012 Movieline article - Citizen Kane The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly ( Biff Tannen is a Sergio Leone fan as well) Gone with the Wind Goodfellas The Godfather What's interesting about that is that Christopher Frayling was one of the first scholarly fans of the spaghetti western--he said few people paid attention to it when he wrote a book in the early 80s--and in the 80s I don't remember them getting much attention. Evil 1985 Biff was a notable advocate.

I am surprised Thomas Wilson hasn't been approached about doing Evil 1985 Biff commercials! Perfect times for some.

and there will be many people who will now be against these movies just because Trump likes them Well, the "woke" libs have already derided GWTW well before Trump, so that one at least can be counted out.

Citizen Kane -n/s
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly - best Western ever made IMO
Gone with the Wind - great film
Goodfellas - Classic
The Godfather - best movie of 1972
All solid choices. Can't fault that list.

I thought It's a Wonderful Life is one of his favorites...he laughs and applauds when Potter finds and keeps the money Uncle Billy loses and then accuses George of stealing it.
