Until recently, I might have said The Dresser (1983). But, after seeing it recently, I have to go with Topsy-Turvy (1999), easily one of the most underrated movies I have ever seen. Topsy-Turvy is indeed a good film, but I never seem to like Leigh's period pieces as much as his other work (which I love) Have you seen his latest film--- Peterloo (2018)? A massive film undertaking about a little-known event in English history. (Currently streaming)

(Currently streaming) I knew a little about the story, and will get round to seeing it, but I think it will make me angry and I avoid that in films

There is a British TV panel show called "There's Something About Movies" and one of the team captains is Michael Sheen. There is a running gag that every British actor of note (and some less known) had at least an audition for a Harry Potter role...except him. Was interesting when Tim Roth was a guest and he revealed he did Planet Of The Apes instead of going for the Snape role in Harry Potter! In hindsight a big mistake, particularly as I think he would have been excellent in the role

Peterloo ... a little-known English event. Not when I was at school. It was part of the GCE curriculum. (Mind you, that was not so long after the event. )

Interesting "biopic" about the Booth family.
