No i watch documentaries and read books about British life if i want to understand British life better.
Of course to properly understand British life you would probably need to live in Britain.

I actually probably saw those films in order as presented, but only by accident. My Dad liked WW2 films a lot so I know I saw River Kwai at an early age. I caught Zulu later on when I was in high school and didn't see Man Who Would Be King until probably about 5 or so years ago when I was on a Michael Caine kick. Zulu and King make sense to watch close together due to their late 19th century British Empire setting.

Don't remember what I order I saw these in (3 great films, Zulu probably in my Top 10).
Don't need them to tell me about British life as I am British. Not that they tell you much about it anyway.

I'm baffled myself.

I seem to be missing the point of this thread and apparently I am not alone !
