I am wanting to watch super depressing movies. Nothing with sci-fi in them though or anything like that. Just real life dramas. And no movies that aren't in English.
So they can be about anything, for the most part, really. Any suggestions?

The Elephant Man just isn't a movie I want to see. Melancholia sounded interesting when I heard about it years ago, but it seems too much like a fantasy in a way. I'll have to look into Hotel Rwanda. I haven't seen it yet. House of Sand and Fog is great. Million Dollar Baby gets a thumbs down from me. I was never a fan. Angela's Ashes is a maybe, Sophie Choice is a no from me. I don't want to get emotional watching Meryl Streep. I know it was before she became all nutty, but still. 🙁 Thank you for the suggestions.

I saw it after someone suggested it on here some years ago, but sadly it didn't hit me.

I couldn't find The Reflecting Skin anywhere. I would offer my condolences but it is not a film I want to revisit----it does stick in the memory though. Only watched it once 30 years ago but still remember a fair bit about it. Unfortunately! Just too depressing and weird for me.

I actually saw that it was on Amazon and I watched part of the trailer, but that is not the type of movie I was looking for. 😉
