Which of these defunct U.S. over-the-air television networks is your favourite? There are many others, but I feel these ones made the biggest impression.
I might do a thread for defunct ITV franchises (such as Thames Television, etc.) if anyone wants.
For those who are interested: DuMont Television Network lasted from 1946 to 1956. It did have its share of hits like "Cavalcade of Stars" and "Life is Worth Living". The WB lasted from 1995 to 2006. UPN lasted from 1995 to 2006. NET lasted from 1952 to 1970, and was the predecessor to PBS. Paramount Television Network lasted from 1949 to 1953, and was not much of a network. Prime Time Entertainment Network lasted from 1993 to 1997, and was a cross between a TV network and a syndication service.
