Are you in a full lockdown? Wearing masks and social distancing? Bars closed? Gonna visit family over the holidays? Schools still open? Planes still coming in to your airport?
Or are you just confused with what to do and not do?

It's strictly a no-go-zone. I'm like Will Smith in 'I Am Legend', biding my time as the enemy closes in (but no Alice Braga).

Or are you just confused with what to do and not do? what about you Johnny? good to see you. I am in central California and my county went back a tier due to increased infections. some schools were just opening in class instruction and they have to go back to on line. the restaurants were just able to eat inside the restaurant and they are back to outside only. Masks and social distancing are being practiced. pretty much-- i saw people shopping without masks this week. which is weird because we have more infections. people should be more careful. I don't know about bars, and am not having family for the holidays. I think planes are flying, but our governor asked people to self isolate for two weeks if they fly into calif. or out. pretty restrictive.

Cases are increasing here and indoor dining has been restricted. They've recommended that people don't gather with other households. The holidays are gonna be weird. If we do get together for Christmas, it'll be the people that I've been around since the pandemic began and feel confident with.

I live a bit north of Enigma, in California. And, we've had a similar experience. The Bay Area was the first U.S., metropolitan area to go into lock-down. That happened on March 16, 2020.
Since then, it has been a constant adjustment, followed by a re-adjustment, in terms of how businesses, and social interactions are allowed to occur.
This area has always been compliant on wearing masks. Some of us have had a lot of fun with them, when it comes to colors, fun designs, etc..
Unfortunately, a "spike," in infections has us looking at at greater concern, as we head into the holidays.
I guess that we'll just keep doing what we've been doing.

We’re in a month long lockdown in the UK but Oxford Street looks just as busy.

Bars, restaurants, movie theatres, museums, libraries, gyms are all closed (well, many restaurants are open for takeout only). Stores are open. Masks are mandatory everywhere you go, and people by and large respect that. Schools are open. The airport is operating, but with far fewer flights in and out.
Restrictions for Christmas haven’t been announced yet, but there will probably be a recommendation of avoiding large family gatherings.

Are you in a full lockdown? Wearing masks and social distancing? Bars closed? Gonna visit family over the holidays? Schools still open? Planes still coming in to your airport? Or are you just confused with what to do and not do? Restaurants are not limited to operating indoor dining until 10:00 PM @ 25% capacity - soon to be 8:00 PM a @ 10% capacity; no more bar seating; outdoor dining can continue (brrr!). Some schools have reverted back to virtual learning - mostly those schools in bigger, more densely populated areas. Municipal buildings and offices are closed to the public. Most non-emergency medical care is done virtually. More rigorous sanitizing and restrictions on office buildings - must provide employees with face masks, hand sanitizer to be available in all areas; social distancing to be enforced; temperature taking done for all employees each day; sanitize common areas each day, as well as individual areas as needed. We've had quite an alarming uptick in cases recently. I'm thinking with Thanksgiving and Christmas, it's going to be even more. Wish people would follow mask and social distancing protocols. Yesterday in the grocery store there was an asshole (older male, overweight) wearing his mask on his chin - nose and mouth exposed. Jerk.

Where I am:
Masks are required for anyone going indoors (retail businesses, shopping centres, malls etc.) Social distancing is encouraged, but in some places, can't always be respected. The masks help.
Truth be told, after my grandfather passed, I've kind of lost touch with my mother's side of the family. And, all of my father's side is in England.
My brother has a family of his own (wife and 4 kids). Trust me, I would LOVE to go see my brother's family. I haven't seen them in just over 2 years. Since they are 7 hours away by car, I don't think we'll be able to see them in the foreseeable future.

Stores and schools are still open, but restaurants, bars, gyms, theaters, movie theatres and libraries have been closed since early November.
You are required to wear a mask inside stores, on public transport and in the town centre also outside.
Only people from not more than two different households are allowed to meet, and not more than 5 altogether.
All cultural and sports events and social gatherings have been cancelled.
This new lockdown was originally supposed to last only a month, but now they are thinking of continuing it until March and there could also be further restrictions with even schools and general stores closing again.

From what I've noticed, there aren't many restrictions right now. Masks are required everywhere, sure, but that's about it. Nothing is closed right now and social distancing is more of a suggestion than a requirement. I think it's a perfectly reasonable approach anyways, viruses were never defeated by hiding from them.

We're seeing uptick of cases because stupid morons don't want to be bothered with wearing a mask and others, still, feel it's "paranoid" to be wearing a mask. Others still feel like it's more important to attend a house party of 50 people and get drunk and bring whatever they've been exposed to back to their parents, siblings, and grandparents. Priorities, right?
In stores, people aren't wearing masks, and many are not observing social distancing. I don't understand.

In my city, most are wearing masks-but adjacent not as much. Gov can't do much here because our dear Repubs keep taking him to court(of course they have yet to produce any plan whatsoever). Don't care what side you are on, something needs to be done-not just sitting around complaining about the Gov. However Dane county(ie Madison) has shut down places after 10pm until 5am. And limiting indoor gatherings to 10ppl.........like people will really abide, since there's no one to uphold this. We just had an incident at a place that's been around for decades. 100's gathered, health inspectors showed up, & people started attacking them. The general manager steps in & says please folks, they'll take my license if you don't abide by the rules. Some asshat then grabs him from behind & he ends up falling to the ground. Again, I don't care what side you're on, this was just wrong. www.jsonline.com/story/news/2020/11/14/health-officials-intervened-trump-rally-then-things-got-tense/6297818002/ Anddddd......there are still some thinking this is all made up.
