Is it a valid question is maybe the more important point. Why should a sportsman even need to be considered "moral"? and what is morality apart from some vague notion of "goodness," would the paper judge people being in sport if they had children out of marriage or same sex relationships? They wouldn't even dare mention it, so why should morality even be bought up in relation to sport. As for Hamilton, when he condemns Saudi Arabia loudly and wears a T shirt about their human rights abuses next time he is racing there and enjoying their hospitality and glad handing Saudi royals, then perhaps I can take his BLM bandwagon jumping with anything other than utter contempt.
