I just watched Force of Nature. Yikes! Mel Gibson has fallen off the mainstream radar as of 2003, but his more recent movies are usually gritty under the radar movies and not the bottom of the barrel type movies that Bruce Willis, John Cusack and Nicolas Cage star in now. This movie is bottom of the barrel garbage. Unlike Bruce Willis, Mel Gibson seems to still like acting though and does the best with the horrible material he is given.

I'm shocked by the hate for Conspiracy Theory, it's one of my favourite Gibsons.
Least favourite would be something like Edge Of Darkness or Machete Kills.

I always liked Conspiracy Theory as well...sure it's just silly fluff, but it's done with the panache and style that Donner brought to his work.

Braveheart
And that`s not because i think the movie is bad, its because i get so annoyed with all the historical inaccuracies that its impossible for me to enjoy the movie. I am not saying it needed to be 100% historical accurate, but this is so far from accurate that's i just get annoyed watching it.

I am not saying it needed to be 100% historical accurate, but this is so far from accurate that's i just get annoyed watching it. Luckily for me I have never been all that bothered by historical inaccuracies in movies. Movies are fiction, even if they are based on or inspired by true stories. It also makes a difference if I am very familiar with the subject and in the case of Braveheart, I wasn't at the time. I have since looked at lists of the many inaccuracies. If the movie wasn't so well made, then I would be more bothered by it. Documentaries is a different thing entirely, since this genre is stating to be documenting facts.

Granted I haven't seen any of his newer films, but I honestly never met a Gibson movie I didn't at least enjoy (even if it is a "bad" movie like Thunderdome).
I have to agree that being a student of history I found it hard to watch Braveheart due to the massive dosages of inaccuracy (but it was still enjoyable to watch).
