May I add for the millionth time - that this is what is wrong with the Hall, the voting - the whole thing -
Shane Victorino and Michael Cuddyer?
Really?
They're even up for discussion when the likes of McGwire are on the outside looking in?
It's watered down - and it should be for the 'Elite'

Who the hell is LaTroy Hawkins?
Hall of Fame? What planet am I on?

Bonds Clemens Schilling Wagner Sheffield Manny
Also voting for the following, even though they won't get in and probably don't deserve to be:
Torii Hunter because he was awesome to watch, loved playing the game and had a better career than I think most people realize.
Andruw Jones. Even though he's a smirking assclown, he is the best centerfielder I've ever seen play. He made every single play look so easy.

Went for Rolen and Vizquel (GG's) and Wagner.

Sosa, Clemens, Bonds My write in vote - McGwire So for you and the other two people (I'll assume that they are the same group): Why would you vote in Clemens and Bonds (and more ridiculously Sosa and McGwire) and not Manny Ramirez? Ramirez was a superior player to both Sosa and McGwire. If the people who voted for Clemens and Bonds did so exclusive to everyone else because they believe that not only should their not be Harrold Baines and Scooter Rizzuto in the Hall of Fame, but no Jim Thome or Ryne Sandberg either - - only THE greatest players ever - - I could buy it. But otherwise Ramirez should be in there. If you're overlooking steroids, his numbers should absolutely have him in.

Forget steroids, Manny was so good that you didn’t care that he flat out didn’t pay attention while out in the field sometimes (although I do think he was a better fielder than people give him credit for....when he bothered to give a crap).

Manny most definitely has a great case to get in, much more so than either Sosa or McGwire. I don't like to vote for more than 5, so I went with my list. There will be a year where Manny makes my top 5. Although Bonds and Clemens will probably always be on my top 5 cuz they'll need the Veterans Committee.

Manny was a much better fielder than he ever got credit for, mainly because his brain farts were so legendary. He played balls hit off the Monster almost as well as Yaz did. Another thing about Manny that should get mentioned more was his plate discipline, and his ability to hit to all fields. Manny had no problem dumping a ball out to right field to get a run in if that's the best he could do. He didn't have the brain dead stubbornness of so many modern players. If he was playing now, you wouldn't see ridiculous shifts put on against him.
