At this point? Regardless of who it is headed or directed by?
Not that it would be directed by any 1 person. Probably. I'm hoping for it, realisticly though no.

maybe with some female writers and directors That's all it comes down to, eh? Do they have a higher Midi-chlorian count?

maybe with some female writers and directors Yea maybe, if that's what they need to do. At this point i'd say 'why not'.

At this point why not make it all female. Feminism too. All stories centered around females, why not? What we've been getting so far.
...and they made $.

Ya but we all know that sw now has to have some quota of diversity. Gender diversity. So what's even the difference if they made it all women centered? Even if with male directors and male writers, it wouldn't be much different.

The initial appeal of Star Wars was A budget technology given to B story material. Without Ralph McQuarrie and the FX people, there isn't much there. It was already wearing out by ROTJ.
You might get something out of a fan film, but the corporate approach--forget it. They will stifle anything interesting.
The story of a bounty hunter and his baby Yoda is not what most people would have anticipated.
They must prevent even a shred of toxic masculinity so the stories have to be devoid of the classic dramatic conflict which influenced the concept.

“Is it ‘possible’ that something good can come from SW?”
Maybe. If they start hiring real screenwriters to write the episodic movies. Not directors who have less writing talent than seasoned fanfic writers. Then maybe the movies will have better stories, better characters, and more continuity.
Look at The Mandalorian. Those episodes are written by John Favreau and Dave Filoni. They both showed that they have previous writing skills. Even the guest writers have been people who have a resume for successful original screenwriting.
You don’t hire a publisher to write a novel if you want it to be a bestseller. But that’s what Disney has been doing with the episodic movies. And they wonder why the movie part of the franchise seems lost right now.

Well I believe that anything David Filoni is involved with going forward will be good, or better. Disney simply needs to hire better creative people.
