No, I am just better at handling it now. I usually end up punching something I own (or hurt myself) until I calm down or go scream in my car until it all the rage exits me. I think this is something many people don't understand regarding what it takes to deal with psychological illness. It isn't about "getting over it." I hate that. It's about integrating it and learning to manage the symptoms and process it when those symptoms arise. It never goes away. Somehow, I think most people believe it's something one just gets over and it goes away and life goes on and is "normal." Yup. Most people are understandably grossly misinformed/ignorant about it, or it is just something they can't comprehend and write it off as exaggeration etc, because it is easier for them.

Interesting version. Never have Iā¦ (the ones in bold are those I have not done - edited post factum) Uttered a bigoted slur at someone been to a strip club (this is something I want to experience, solely for the purpose of knowing what a real one looks like, not just know it from movies) believed in God t aken a hallucinogen Very interesting Nora. Especially uttered a bigoted slur one and believing in god one. Have you said some vulgar word to someone (vulgar but not bigoted). I would have asked about your beliefs too but it could be a personal matter so won't.

Just some sex tapes, nothing in circulation. I figured, but I since you have been an extra in real movies I wasn't sure. I also just like to find reasons to post that Return of the Jedi parody scene and we were also discussing trilogies and third movies in franchises.

Not to my memory no, aside from perhaps humor between friends, or in my writing, I dont think I have said any vulgar things to pretty much anyone. Let alone bigotted. I was raised catholic and was religious in the age 15-19. Thats when I was babtized too.

My dad was somewhat offended when he went with me to an audition for Master and Commander and he got cast as one of the pirates.

I was baptized and raised Catholic. I was never religious though. I suffered a big loss at 15 which turned me toward God for a few years, during which I would consider myself religious. I went to church, I joined a church choir, and got close with a few nuns and monks. It lasted for a few years, the religious part, but those nuns I befriended are still my friends, whom I love dearly.

anybody here who doesnt mind sharing how they got to watch someone die? I have not and dont know many people who have, just curious. We had a vigil around a loved one who was ill and dying.
Thanks for sharing. Thats a good way to go, it seems. I have never experienced it, all the people (friends and family) who died during my lifetime SADLY died alone. I wish I could change that, but well, I cant and nobody could have really at that time. But that is my dream to do for my parents when its their time and of course it would be nice if I wasn't alone when I am dying, but I guess we dont get to pick. I cant even imagine what people experience now with their loved ones dying of covid in hospitals where visits are not allowed, so even if you KNOW the person was dying and HAVE the time and opportunity to be there, you cant. Horrible, horrible thing.

Horrible, horrible thing.Ā Yes I agree. My mother had a terminal illness so we knew it was only a matter of time. We set up hospice care in her own home rather than a hospital. Most of us were there that afternoon.
My brother had a very spiritual experience when our dad died. All us boys had difficult relationships with our father. Dad was in the hospital and the family was in the waiting room. One by one family members were allowed to go in the room and see him one last time since it was obvious he was about to pass. My brother gripped my father's hand and they looked at each other and had eye contact a moment before he passed. My brother said there was a strange burst of passion and youth in his eyes just as he died. My bro said it was like looking in the eyes of a young man though my dad was in his 70's.
That sounds very intense. Very nice thing to experience, but a little unnerving at the same time. I can see that being what happens, though. Like letting go.
