Very interesting Nora. Especially uttered a bigoted slur one and believing in god one. Have you said some vulgar word to someone (vulgar but not bigoted). I would have asked about your beliefs too but it could be a personal matter so won't. Not to my memory no, aside from perhaps humor between friends, or in my writing, I dont think I have said any vulgar things to pretty much anyone. Let alone bigotted. I was raised catholic and was religious in the age 15-19. Thats when I was babtized too. Cool. You have an interesting background. Usually many people from Europe (especially women) are stereotyped as people with fixed views/lifestyle. But you provide very contrasting lifestyle to what is usual.

Catholics, Orthodox and every Christian church except a few heathen Protestants believe in infant baptism. My parents were not that religious when I was born, it was something that somewhat intensified as they aged, especially with my mom who is much much more religious than my dad. For example dad and I would try to get out of church whenever we could while mom would never miss unless there was something truly urgent that kept her away from it.

I think this is something many people don't understand regarding what it takes to deal with psychological illness. It isn't about "getting over it." I hate that. It's about integrating it and learning to manage the symptoms and process it when those symptoms arise. It never goes away. Somehow, I think most people believe it's something one just gets over and it goes away and life goes on and is "normal." Sorry but I call bullshit. "Getting over it" means learning to deal with it instead of taking out your rage on innocent people around you. If it's meds, great. But don't accuse others of callousness merely because we believe people shouldn't have fits of rage where they hurt other people. Christ almighty! End this counterproductive cult of disability. There is a part of the brain that is in charge of impulse control, if this part of your brain isn't working to the degree it is suppose to (or is damaged) than there will be varying degrees of how effectively someone will be able to control themselves. This isn't just tied in with hurting other people, but hurting themselves. It can also make it very difficult to hold down jobs and stuff like that. Medication and therapy aren't miracle cures and only help to a point. Many times people will have to go through many different meds and therapists before they get to something that actually works. It also matters how early this is caught and treated. A child isn't capable of understanding what is wrong or that there is anything wrong. It is the adults that have to notice it and get them proper treatment. I was given treatment throughout my childhood and learned to better control my impulses, but my general OCD will never be gone. Each brain processes the information it receives slightly differently and the brain of people on the mental disorder spectrum processes information much differently than the average brain. The brain is a maze of complex parts functioning together and if even one of the parts isn't working correctly it can have dire consequences on the person and other people. I happen to have Asperger's, OCD, an anxiety disorder and clinical depression and maybe something else that is undiagnosed. It is also a fact that Asperger's is relatively recent in being studied and diagnosed and is often misunderstood. Misdiagnoses by doctors will only make things worse and being put on the wrong medications can be very harmful as well. Someone with a mental disorder being raised in an unhelpful, ignorant and harmful environment could potentially cause that person to become less caring as time goes on. They might see normal people as threatening and as their enemy and will react in a way that reflects that. Sociopaths are different than the average person with a mental disorder. They have an inflated sense of self, incapable of compassion, they tend to be charming and very manipulative. Most people with non-psychotic mental disorders are the exact opposite of this. Psychotic disorders are disorders where the person is not able to differentiate between what is real and what isn't, schizophrenia for example.

Cool. You have an interesting background. Usually many people from Europe (especially women) are stereotyped as people with fixed views/lifestyle. But you provide very contrasting lifestyle to what is usual. what views/lifestyles are Europeans stereotyped as? Usually that many of them are born non-religious. That drug and alcohol is very common and very important part of life. Of course, these are wrong views. There are different kinds of people in Europe just as in any other society.

There are different stereotypes for different European countries and it depends entirely on each person's observation. The Irish are very religious and are a bunch of alcoholics for example. I don't actually believe the latter is true in any significant sense, but the former seems to be true. The most broad stereotype for Europe as a whole is that they are much more sexually open-minded than the U.S.

Literally all of my friends in Europe drink alcohol almost daily, and all have tried some drugs and quite a few hard drugs, now sure it may be the people I hang out with, and it can also be skewed by the fact I owned a bar for some time so logicaly people that went there drank alcohol (and smoked weed) but compared to my american friends here it really seems like alcohol and perhaps also cigaretes play a bigger part of peoples lives in Europe. Also, we are not scared of boobs/nipples being shown on tv )

Those I haven't are in bold
Been admitted to a mental institution - I wasn't really admitted, I went there on my free will and would've been allowed to leave any time I wanted Cracked my skull open had a threesome - where do you apply for threesomes? Spit on a cop Uttered a bigoted slur at someone - I can't recall any specific occasion, but I'm sure I have done this, not that I would be proud of it. owned a car Got in a car accident Purposely cut myself - when I was younger I wanted to take up self-harming, I thought it would be therapeutic, but it turned out to be wrong for me Eaten a bug been to a casino - techincally I've been to a casino, but I never played, I just visited been to a strip club Been beaten up - I was once in a bar room brawl, although it wasn't much of a brawl. I was incredibly drunk and insulted some guy who punched me in the face after which I passed out, next morning I woke up with a black eye. broke a bone made a porno acted in a play - Almost, as a kid I was taking acting classed at the local theatre, we were going to perform a play, but then our teacher got sick and it turned out he had cancer, so the play had to be scrapped sang karaoke learned martial arts - I learned Judo as a kid, although I never had an opportunity to use it in real life had a gay experience (more than kissing) believed in God - I'm not sure, don't all small children believe in God? been part of a protest been to a drive-in movie taken a hallucinogen - I don't know whether this counts, but I once overdosed on antidepressants and had these weird nightmares about large spiders had a near death experience played golf (not miniature golf) went to college had the same job for more than 10 years been fired from a job drove a motorcycle eaten squid Served time in prison (not county jail) been attacked by a dog owned a pet owned a Pink Floyd album watched someone die - No, but currently my father is in a really bad state, lying in hospital after a severe heart attack. I hope to God I won't have to watch him dying. Been to a wedding - I've been to several weddings, they were incredibly boring and I didn't even meet any hot bridesmaids known someone who committed suicide - Not closely, but when I was a kid there was this antique dealer whose store we often visited with my parents and he became friendly with us. One day the store was closed up and his wife told us that he had killed himself, because he led a secret life as a gambling addict and had amassed such high debts that he didn't see any other way out met a celebrity - I once ran into the actress Teresa Palmer when I was holidaying in Cambodia. One evening she walked into the hotel restaurant. She was standing in front of me at the buffet and I told her she looked really familiar and asked her whether she was an actress, she seemed surprised that someone recognized her, she wasn't very well-known back then and told me she was shooting a movie. Sadly our conversation ended there. watched a movie being made
