They should make versions of colas and sodas that are flat, without carbonation.
Why are soft drinks carbonated to begin with?

That is the reason soda is my favorite drink, because of the carbonation. I love it.
Carbonated water on the other hand...gross. I'd rather drink my own urine.

I've tried Calpico's Strawberry flavored carbonation-free pop. That's the only kind I can think of that doesn't have carbonation and it still tastes good. I don't drink carbonated beverages anymore but I try SoBe drinks, fruit punches and the like.

I also prefer flat pop. I feel you, OP. Thanks! I've found that nearly finished soda near the bottom of the bottle tends to be flat and is very delicious chilled. Also a fuller bottle tends to be less carbonated when really chilled or poured into a cup full of ice. Styrofoam and cardboard cups (like the ones sodas usually come in at fast-food joints) also tend to pop the pop out of the pop.

I'm aware of the fruit-flavored drink mixes, but I didn't realize that standard diet soda flavors are also available as drink mixes. They're obviously not available everywhere. That's a start. But they need to offer them as full-throttle-bottle options.
