Then would you go to see it? Sorry that this poll is kinda dumb.

Maybe, provided that Jar Jar Binks makes a reappearance.

Maybe if Natalie Portman or Daisy Ridley get naked.

As I didn't bother to see either Solo or Rise of Skywalker in theaters, I voted no.
I did ultimately see Rise of Skywalker on streaming, but I have yet to see Solo.

After Rise of Skywalker, I think I'm done. If they're gonna bow down to angry geeks who don't know how to make movies, why pay to see their shit when I can just read the latest posts from Tristian and John Spartan on here? Nothing makes me lose investment more than retconning.

Nothing makes me lose investment more than retconning. The entire trilogy was a disaster, for different reasons. TFA was a bad remake of ANH, TLJ went in radical new directions-- a deliberate choice by Johnson, that while I respect the idea, I hated everything about the movie. So in yet another course correction, they give us TROS which was just more lazy fan service that ultimately made the trilogy completely incoherent. I know these decades-too-late franchise resurrections exist to make money, so mission accomplished I suppose. It's just a shame they didn't put more effort into the story telling from start to finish. Much of the aggravating stuff about TLJ wouldn't have been half as bad if it had been set up in TFA. And love it or hate it (It being TLJ), retconning almost everything from the previous film because people complained is, well, counterproductive at best, ruinous at worst. Even if you hated TLJ, I don't see how TROS could've saved the franchise. It's incredible that so many awful creative decisions were made in succession, and these things still raked in cash. That in itself is a testament to the popularity of Star Wars.

That in itself is a testament to the popularity of Star Wars. I'd figured TFA was overly familiar by design and TLJ was always supposed to shift gears and take the story in a new direction. It gave me exactly what I wanted. Then TRoS happened and I said "oh right, Abrams is just a hack". But yeah, as you said, if you make a bed you should just lie in it. I think killing off Maul so early in the PT was a mistake, but I respect that Lucas didn't make his death a dream sequence or something in Attack of the Clones. Though I suppose he did retcon it later.

No. I missed Solo and RoS at the theater. TLJ pretty much ended any love I had left for the franchise.
