Aaron Sorkin's newest movie is a courtroom drama about the trial of the "Chicago 7" protestors in the sixties. And as always with his films, it is full of slick and clever dialogue exchanged around a very interesting topic. Highly recommend to give it a watch. Its on Netflix.
8/10
Too bad its not in cinemas! Its a very cinematic piece. Would have been 9/10 had they stayed closer to the truth.

a bit too preachy, overwraught, and lacking concise focus 6/10.

A bit of a bummer to see how fast and loose Sorkin played with the facts (an especially troubling fictional scene is Jerry Rubin saving a damsel-in-distress from frat guys who decide being tear gassed is the perfect time for some rapin' - also, JGL's character wasn't nearly as sympathetic in real life). But it's got your witty Sorkinisms and a great cast so I still enjoyed it.

It almost makes me wish I had not looked up the facts or that it was not supposed to be based on real events, that would have med me like it even more. I admire his editing choices here and the overall extremely focused yet not boring (a somewhat of a risk for courtroom dramas) concept of storytelling. And funny, yes.
