the first fully computer animated movie. The movie obviously has some dated animation (the humans in particular look pretty bad) but a lot of it surprisingly still looks good and the movie itself is still terrific thanks to great characters, emotional moments, and humor

A legendary film that will live on forever, even with some dated animation.

Wonderful movie. I remember this being a big deal upon release with it being the first of its kind and the start to a remarkable set of movies from Pixar (this winning streak lasting till the excellent Toy Story 3 15 years later).

It's such a landmark animated movie. Happy 25th anniversary. 10/10.

Ever notice Woody’s holster is always empty? As local law enforcement, he is ill prepared to face any threats.

I was just one or two years too old to have any interest at all.

Very good movie, pretty sure Antz was the next CG animated movie which was also very good.

I watched that movie for the first time last year i think it was, it may have been 2017. And the movie was fine but i don`t think it was a fantastic movie.
Not a bad movie, just an ok movie.

You know what, that would've made the Toy Story films interesting to me. I still wouldn't be a fan of the TS films but at least they'd have made a decent effort to not appeal to children only.

While I love the first TS movie--and recognize its towering achievements, which have been easy to downplay or even forget in the torrent of computer-animated films that soon followed--I actually prefer TS 2. I find the art and the writing, particularly the character development, in that sequel superior to the first, and I don't have to suffer through the discomfort of Woody's initial jealousy of, and enmity toward Buzz. Not to mention Buzz's delusional behavior and occasional bouts of "spaceman-splaining." I look at it like this (just my opinion, of course): Star Wars (later Episode 4: A New Hope) was necessary for the existence of The Empire Strikes Back. But TESB > SW Toy Story (later 1) was necessary for the existence of Toy Story 2. But TS 2 > TS. Anyway, Happy Anniversary, Toy Story, and thank you for everything you helped make possible!
