Great observation. Not sure if this has ever been posted on the forum before, but it beautifully illustrates your point about a score working wonders for a film:

I also really like Jerry Goldsmith's score for the first three Rambo movies, underrated scores with lots of different great themes.

Nice how you have mentioned Rubin's score for Motel Hell - 80' Mr. Dirty. Complements the film wonderfully with a nice sense of unease and also adds to the atmosphere on a very subliminal level. Rubin also co-composed Happy Birthday To Me - 81' with Bo Harwood. There is a similar sad lyricism to it as well.

Richard Band's score for The House On Sorority Row - 83', I find quite exceptional for a slasher film and one of the better slashers too.

Yes, I concur with Williams score for Jaws 2. Jaws was the dun dun dun dun theme that most recalled and what Williams composed for the rest of the film fits in wonderfully with the proceedings, yet he took it even further with Jaws 2 and enhanced the experience even more by taking it to newer heights with his compositions. Perhaps the film needed it too, with Spielberg not being at the helm, but the film is still a winner in its own rights. It does have some editing issues and I would have trimmed the fat of about 10mins. It can be a bit plodding in parts, but I suppose this is negligible to the overall experience. I feel too much time is spent with the Brodies and strains for a moody effect. Piranha - 78' has a different feel to its slower parts and fits in more comfortably. It is also about 22mins shorter.
