This was not my idea, but it made a lot of sense when you think about the state of the MCU. Consider how Tony Stark is reacting to the potential of alien invasion. He's panicked as hell about it. Now just realize that certainly others are as well, others who are likely working on researching the matter. Now just imagine how those people will feel once the Thanos hits the fan, and we're all set up for a team of adventures to set out into the cosmos to find out what all is going on. SWORD might be founded to monitor the universe. It'd make a lot of sense.

There's a better chance of Fox making an X-Men/Fantastic Four crossover movie than MCU making a Fantastic Four movie.

The Fantastic Four will never be part of the MCU. Even Kevin Feige admits that.
