Money has been their God and their main motivation to squeeze every last dime out of their simpleminded chump congregations. They wouldn't have the foggiest about being humble, after all, this was one of the main teachings of Christ.

What was is that Jesus said
"it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God".
Yes i see that that quote is also in the picture. but i did not notice that right away.

I suspect those "pastors" were made by their congregations, not that the pastors assembled any congregations. I suspect part of their story is that their congregation hates Catholics.

BINGO! When you read this book; you will learn about the bigotry leveled in the early colonies on Catholics. A hatred which persists to this day.

Five years ago, John Oliver did a 20-minute bit about televangelists. It's on YouTube. In that bit, Mike Murdock bragged that he paid cash for a Cessna Citation jet. Then immediately bragged that he bought another private jet for "three times that amount". Private jets sell for millions of dollars, even used ones. Private jets cost $2000 to $5000 per HOUR to operate. Mike didn't even make the top-ten list with two private jets.;
YouTube has videos of Jesse Duplantis asking for $54 million dollars for his new jet. Jesse did not make the top-ten list either.
There is a video of Crefflo Dollar asking for $65 million for his private jet. Crefflo did make the list. It looks like one needs more than $60 million to make the top-ten list.

This just in: Investigative reporter Lisa Guerrero of CBS’ Inside Edition yesterday (Dec 11) broke the story that Scamvangelist Marcus Lamb had bought a new private jet using $3.9 million of Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) money from the government that should have gone into the pockets of staffers at Lamb’s “church.”
Lamb heads up Daystar Television, one of the largest religious TV networks in the country, which is overseen by his (tax-exempt) Word of God Fellowship church. In 2014, the network was the focus of an NPR investigation for functioning as a business despite getting church-like tax breaks. Making matters worse, the “church” spent money on things like sponsoring a NASCAR driver, giving a loan to one of Lamb’s buddies (who later defaulted), and buying nearly $100,000 worth of copies of Lamb’s wife’s book. The network’s board of directors was positively Trumpian, with Lamb’s relatives sitting in nearly every seat.
When Guerrero quizzed Lamb about using the jet for family vacations, he said they were “working” vacations even though he seen playing golf and vacation photos were posted on social media.
After Guerrero started digging into Lamb’s finances, his “church” returned the entire $3.9 million, with interest. But it was too late. Guerrero has broken the story anyway, Dog bless her.

Lamb was just behaving like a lot of greedy corporate executives. A lot of companies that have increased their profits due to the pandemic were first in line to take money to keep people employed, only to pay dividends to shareholders.

Joel Osteen, god, and satan walk into a bar.
Oh, never mind. The bar is closed. Osteen got a $4 million bailout but the bar didn't.
