ADDENDUM: Minoso was a part of three interesting trades
In 1951, he was traded by Cleveland to the White Sox in a three team deal. Indians got garbage back. If Minoso has been on those 1950's Indians teams, could they have caught the Yankees? They won 111 in '54 with Dave Philley in the outfield.
In 1957, Chicago sent him back to Cleveland for Al Smith and Early Wynn. Two key players in the "Go-Go Sox" pennant run in 1959, Chicago's first since the Black Sox, 40 years earlier.
In 1959. Cleveland sent him to Detroit for three scrubs. Detroit got a couple okay players, Bubba Phillips and John Romano. And a throw-in prospect. Norm Cash.

Like Eric Plunk getting traded for Rickey Henderson....twice! In 1984 by the Yankees to Oakland, and then in 1989 by the A's back to the Yankees in exchange for Henderson.

I was expecting a curveball from the Top 100 Baseball Moments. but his Top 100 Players list was straightforward. The Top 25
1. Willie Mays 2. Babe Ruth 3. Barry Bonds 4. Hank Aaron (RIP) 5. Oscar Charleston 6. Ted Williams 7. Walter Johnson 8. Ty Cobb 9. Stan Musial
10. Satchel Paige
11. Mickey Mantle 12. Honus Wagner 13. Roger Clemens 14. Lou Gehrig
15. Josh Gibson
16. Alex Rodriguez
17. Rogers Hornsby
18. Tris Speaker
19T. Mike Schmidt 19T. Frank Robinson
21. Joe Morgan
22. Lefty Grove
23. Albert Pujols
24. Rickey Henderson
25. Pop Lloyd
You can argue the order, Ruth over Mays, Cobb too low. But there's no Duane Kuiper moment
Note on Charleston. In Bill James Historical Baseball Abstract, he had him rated that high also.
Was there a specific criteria that resulted in a tie between Schmidt and Robinson? If it's just him ranking the top players, that seems a bit strange. Some kind of Sabermetrics formula.
Some of it was really ridiculous. Tom Seaver at #41, Nolan Ryan at #50, Ichiro at #100.

Ewww. Although a few months ago, Marco tried to play the amusing card that, from a historical franchise perspective, Mets fans are more upset about letting Justin Turner go before his ascension than they are about trading away Nolan Ryan prior to his. Maybe he was right!

Maybe he was right! Of course, Nolan Ryan wasn't "Nolan Ryan" in NY. They didn't use him properly, bouncing him from the rotation to the bullpen. But he overthrew everything. Mirror image of Sandy Koufax. The Angels pitching coach taught him to take just a bit off his fastball and ended his bullpen days. And the Mets eternal obsession with finding a 3b.

Apparently the Mets and Blow Jays are very actively involved in talks with the Cubs to trade for Kris Bryant so we'll see where that takes us. They had Wright, and of course they built Citi Field in such a way that completely negated his natural power alley of right-center, but hey, nobody's perfect. He was also never the same after getting hit in the head by Matt Cain, that was scary. Even Cain was rattled by it.

Howie Johnson wasn't bad at 3rd either. i do remember the Mets always whining about Third Base in the 70's. TThe heady days of Wayne Garrett, Roy Staiger, Lenny Randle,
