Both Let Him Go and Uncle Frank were good, thought I felt like Uncle Frank's sudden feel-good, "We totally accept you even though nothing about us would have led the audience to believe that we would accept you" ending was a bit hard to believe.

Happiest Season was pretty good. My two big complaints were that it had an uneven tone (some scenes are more serious dramedy, others the goofiest comedy stuff), and the ending was way too "happily ever after, everything works out for everybody". And am I crazy, or did it totally seem like they were setting it up for Kristen Stewart to end up with Aubrey Plaza?

We all deserve happy endings, and in my little circle of friends and family everyone is accepted, so I cried at the end - as did my missus, and we went to bed happy that night. We needed a little lift and the movie delivered. I didn't like Wally's wig and fake beard, though.

It's pretty fucking gripping.

I've only seen 4 movies dated 2020 by the database. I thought three of them were worthy of a Best list. I've not been tempted by anything else I have read about.
Emma / Autumn de Wilde (with Anya Taylor-Joy - best young actress on the scene - of Queen's Gambit) Mank / David Fincher The Trial Of The Chicago 7 / Aaron Sorkin (I lived through the time of the Chicago 7 case and followed it closely. I owned books by Abbie Hoffman and Jerry Rubin.)

I watched Uncle Frank yesterday. Quite good.
I’m Your Woman is very dull.

I watched Uncle Frank yesterday. Quite good. I’m Your Woman is very dull. I didn’t think it was dull at all. It was quite tense. But while we are in the subject of tv, have you watched the series Gangs of London? Holy moly, that is one of the best tv showstopper I’ve watches in a really long time.

I saw Braven, and thought it was terrible. The actors are good, and they include Rissa fav, Jason Monoa. The cinematography is lovely. And the writing is utterly illogical when it isn't being super predictable.

Nah, Laandaan accents get on my tits. I avoided that one on purpose!
