Any sport. Your team's COVID situation is so dire that you're the only option left to step in as a replacement (just go with it). The good news is that you get to pick the position you're filling in for.
What'll it be? For the NFL, do you live out your childhood dreams and play QB (and throw five TDs too, I'll bet)? Do you opt to be a punter, tasked simply with catching the ball and kicking it really hard? Are you going to put yourself in the middle of the action or choose somewhere where you'll hopefully be as far away from actually needing to do anything as possible?
Have at it - I bet we have a few "Uncle Ricos" on the board.

Goalie for the Flyers. I can’t skate and I’d give up at least 50 goals in the first period but it would be fun as hell.

PG - Sixers
Was debating QB Eagles - they're similar positions albeit different sports
You're the floor general
I'd like to think my court vision and decision making would be beneficial to the team as well as my unselfishness - my willingness to defend and my attention to detail - i.e. I think I'd have a pretty awesome Assist/Turnover Ratio

NFL - thinking about it, I'd probably play defensive end. The guy blocking me would have the best game any player has ever had, and I'd spin this afterwards to claim that they had to put the best OT in the league on me at all times.
This also works as a WR. Hard for anyone to say you caused the team to lose if your stat line reads 0 catches for 0 yards from 0 targets.

Realistically? With my build and skillset, I could fill in at slot receiver or corner; punter for sure. As a QB I think I can make the passes necessary in terms of accuracy and velocity, but making reads at NFL speeds coming in off the street is a big ask. Maybe zing the ball downfield on a trick play at least. Then again, if billychuck gives me some pointers, I could go on to win the Super Bowl.

NBA would have to be PG, and at 6'0" and 43 years of age, I'd be a serious defensive liability. I'd pull some Billy Hoyle stuff at first; make a few crazy shots and passes; but once they put their 6'5" defensive stopper on me I might be in trouble.

A blind homeless guy with a goiter and a three legged seeing eye dog would be an improvement over Wentzy.

MLS - From what I've seen, I feel like any one of us could fill in at any position and be at least marginally effective in this league.

Obviously none of us could actually do well in any professional sport, and I'm not in the same shape I was, but I played a lot at many levels at offensive and defensive tackle. I'd be waaaaay undersized for that these days, but maybe like guard or tight end or defensive end would be where they'd most likely stick me to be the smallest liability on the roster.

I'll be the 10th guy on the baseball team. The first guy to step in for an injured player, or to take a pinch hitting appearance. I've played the left side of the infield, corner outfield, and can even pitch a little!
Basically, I'm JD Davis. A really, really, shitty version of JD Davis.

I'll amend my answer by changing my position to fullback, since most teams hardly ever use them if they even carry one on the roster at all. So I could start at fullback but only see like 5 or 6 snaps throughout the game and be used mostly as a decoy on play action and swing out for a couple of check downs, one of which might actually be thrown to me when I'm left alone and I can pick 6 yards and step out of bounds. If I have to pick up a blitz or lead block we're all fucked.

To the folks picking QB on this thread, especially Frogs, yeah, I’d pay to watch you line up behind that Eagles line. I would watch in Zapruder-film like slo mo of the moment Chase Young or Aaron Donald turns you into hamburger helper. And I’d watch it again and again and again and put a freeze frame of it on a tshirt.

But I'm pretty quick - quicker than your Average Joe
I'm quite certain I can allude a pass rush
I jog 9.4 miles and also box on a regular basis
The boxing aspect of me being an alert QB comes into play because I'm always on my toes - I was also taught defense first preparing for what punch combination is coming your way - hands up - on your toes - that alertness and my cat like defense mechanisms comes into play when a pocket would be collapsing on me

However quick you are or think you are you’re not Chase Young in hot pursuit quick. You’re not dancing in the pocket to avoid Jadeveon Clowney quick. You’re not eluding the safety blitz quick. You would be the Coyote after the piano falls on his head. The thought of JJ Watt lighting into you, I have to admit, I’m getting sexually aroused.
