Just when I thought that 2020 couldn't get any worse...
He was hospitalised 3 weeks ago after a heart attack. They managed to stabilize his heart and everything seemed to be on the up. He was already transferred to another hospital for regeneration and then 3 days ago his roomate's Corona test came back positive and so my father had to be put in isolation too. And now the doctor has called me telling me that he has high fever and is in a critical condition.
He had just bought a new computer and he had still so many plans for the future. It's weird how quickly things can change for the worst. |

OMG, that is horrible! The poor man! Hospitals are not the place to be, but in his case, it couldn't be helped. Praying that he comes through. Can't imagine what you are going through. ::hugs::

That is terrible. I hope he gets better. It's unbelievable how people are STILL getting sick in hospitals.

Is this not usual/normal though for patients who have contracted an influenza type virus?

Thank you, everyone for all your kind words!
The virus hasn't affected his lungs so far and his condition seems to be solid, so chances are he could pull through.
It's really tough for all relatives these days with no hospital visits allowed because of Corona. These last weeks have been very trying for our family. My mother is taking it particularly badly, she is really depressed and exhausted, blaming herself for having brought him to the wrong hospital.
I'm still trying to be optimistic though.
