He is potentially going to finish lower than Louis Van Gaal ever did, but he might win 2 trophies (3 if you count the Charity Shield but that isn't really a proper trophy and really LVG won that).

League performance has been abysmal. If we win the Europa League it's a good season, if we don't it's a bad one.

When you see the top assists stats Man U are no where to be seen, Which tells us the story - two on 5 - one on 6
Even Oxlade has 7 assists - and arsenal want to trade Zaha with him and jenkinson(rumour)
Rashford and Martial are very talented(but can they finish like the best?. And pogba keeps things ticking over but there isnt a natural link between defence and attack - They need players that can burst forward or nick the ball high up and command space (, hazard, silva, saine, alli) or provide a WC delivery final third like de bruyne or Erikson.
ITS a work in progress.

They've gone downhill ever since Moyes left.

Generally good but the ropey league will make or break it.
That tournament should be renamed "The back door to the champions league." They shouldn't receive a trophy, they should receive a ticker that confirms they've qualified for the CL.

Should they win Europa then it's been a very good season for them and a big improvement on LVG's last season. Two trophies and CL football; the rest of the top 6 barring Chelsea would take that over their seasons, although I imagine Man United wouldn't feel too bad had they had Spurs' season instead, as that too would signify a definite sign of progress from where they were at, even without a trophy.

Yup, that made the season.
Tighten up the defence. Win the League Cup. Win The Europa League. Qualify for the Champion's League.
You can't really argue with it but it could have been so very different.
7/10
Needs attacking players (starting with Greizman).

Pragmatic approach paid off from Mourinho, putting all eggs in the Europa League basket. Still lots of issues but he got what he needed out of the season.
