I don't care about this board, this topic, or religion as a whole. But this screamed me posting this year, someone has to. Science has failed our world, science has failed our Mother Earth! Yeah, it screams, for sure. I couldn't understand the lyrics so I have no idea what point was being made. My reaction is this; I don't think science has failed us, I think we have failed to embrace the science. The willful disregard for common and easy methods to avoid spreading a virus is just mind-boggling. The politicizing of a pandemic virus, also mind-boggling. The evidence of what is happening to our world has been documented in scientific study. Humans have failed to take it seriously and attempt anything to stop it. JMHO... Its a bit like the GnR song One in a Million, it's taking the part of a lunatic to demonstrate insanity. soad are religious in some ways but they support science

You know that's relative, right? Arlon has been gone almost a month. I do hope he hasn't succumbed to Covid as he hated and distrusted hospitals doctors and medicine. I think "hated" is definitely not a fair characterization of my true attitude. I think I cherish science more than anyone here. "Distrusted" is not fair in as much as it seems to say I distrust hospitals, doctors, and medicine more than I distrust anyone else. I do not. I actually trust hospitals and doctors more. It is quite true though I distrust ALL reports, including many attributed to your "favored" sources. It is fair to say that I am "skeptical" of whatever emerges from the rabble. I can afford to be skeptical because I am "well equipped" to form my own opinions.
