So what's your opinion?
We all know it's Pre-Determined in the vast majority of times. Is this enough to make you call it FAKE?
What do you think?
Professional Wrestling (WWE) is fake. Olympic wrestling is real. High school and college wrestling is real. Have you ever watched English football where the players fall down like little girls on the pitch after a soft nudge playing with a toy ball. Such fakery in that too.

It happens in American football also. But that doesn't mean football or soccer is fake. That's just players trying to get a penalty against the other team. Professional Wrestling is fake because the fights are scripted. They are great athletes. And their fan base is entertained. But so are watchers of a fictional play, movie or TV show.

I don't like the word script. There was never an actual script in wrestling....until now unfortunately. ANd it is one of the many causes of the industry to be in the crapper it is now.

If anybody ever tries to tell you wrestling is fake, show them the clip where New Jack stabbed a dude with a knife like nine times. Wrestling confirmed for real. And Bartlesby showing once again his lack of intelligence.

Professional Wrestling is not fake, it's pre-determined.
Family wrestling?! What the hell is that?!
"family" wrestling is what the spellcheck changed to from "college" wrestling. Fuck'in cellphone. So your cellphone changed College to Family?
ROFLCOPTER!!!

Capiche? Cry harder.

I missed this reply yeah but English football is just too girly and that Maradona thing was just bizarre.

It's obviously not fake.
It's just pre-determined.

It isn’t all predetermined. What about the Montreal Screwjob.

It isn’t all predetermined. What about the Montreal Screwjob. Well at the end that was pretty real. The outcome was just Bret Hart getting screwed.

Well, it IS an Olympic sport! If your serious, i think professional wrestling is a different kind of wrestling entirely than the kind done in the Olympics and other venues. link There is the real, unscripted and not predetermined kind where a) there are rules about what you can and can't do...some holds and moves are illegal and b) the winner depends on who actually wins as determined by pin or points.

It's obviously not fake. It's just pre-determined. I think pro wrestling has became "fake" with wrestlers not caring about making it look like a simulated sport.

The wrestling holds are real, the outcome is pre-determined. Both wrestlers as well as the referee know the outcome ahead of time and will follow the script. Some organizations heavily script their matches others, less so. But the finish is always scrilted.
The blood was real back when they allowed blading. The wrestlers cut themselves after/during a chair shot or having their head slammed into something. That is why it was always the forehead that was bleeding, never anywhere else. They kept the blade wrapped in their wrist.

It's not supposed to be risky though. Jerry Lawler is still wrestling in his early 70s and today guys are lucky to still be wrestling into their 50s.

For example, Kane once broke his hand (I think) during a match and yet he had to carry on without showing any signs of pain because his character is invincible.
But it was a serious injury. Lucky that he is the strongest wrestler ever.

Yes, but a broken hand is a far more acceptable risk than a broken neck or back.

Yes, but a broken hand is a far more acceptable risk than a broken neck or back. Yes but many wrestlers get their necks or backs broken.
So when some people think wrestling is fake they should go there and see by themselves how "fake" it really is.
