Do you have a telepathic link, or a "special" connection?

I knew a woman who was a bird charmer.
She walked into the chicken house and the hens all came to her and even the rooster, who attacked anyone else when ever he could, let her touch him and pet him.
She could put her hand in the parakeet cage and not get nipped by the otherwise wild beast within. She even let the bird out to fly around and he came to her when she talked to him. Bird refused to cooperate with anyone else even tho he lived in THEIR house and she was just an occasional visitor.

Where are you going with this? Kind of like a horse whisperer.

Yes. When I call the dog by name, she ignores me. That's special (but not in a good way).

What do you mean by special? Like when weasels talk to badgers, or badgers communicate with stoats. They have a natural affinity that science still struggles to explain. These are intelligent animals, that are predatory by nature (survival). They often prove to be ingenious, so "man" has called them the devil and applied many names to them to castigate "the other" as "the nasty". I know where I fall in this equation.

I can tell you some of the most advanced intelligence tests take place in Ohio, but you may already know this.

Sure, some I eat. Others I pet. Some I want to kill
Although, not much communication. Especially the edible ones
