God isn't going to cure world hunger. We humans grow enogh food and have the ability to make fresh water from salt water - enough for everyone in the world. But we humans are too greedy.
God isn't going to make you a successful person - You have to do all the work.
So stop praying to God to fix all of your problems for you - if you want something bad enough you have to do it your own way - preferably a legal way.
That's my sermon and Christmas/holiday blessing to everyone.

I thought it was a nice alternative to seeing a YouTube video featuring some dude who is a few bricks shy of a full load / self medicating / a professional con artist.

Well of course not, i mean God does not exist so of course God is not going to anything to help you.

Who said that exactly? St. C. Montgomery Burns?

"No good e'er comes of leisure purposeless; And heaven ne'er helps the men who will not act."
"Try first thyself, and after call in God; For to the worker God himself lends aid."
"Divinity helps those who dare."
Or as other Greeks will tell you: Euripides Eumenides.

(text omitted) We humans grow enogh food and have the ability to make fresh water from salt water - enough for everyone in the world. But we humns are too greedy. (more text omitted) The long term problem is evolution. If there is enough food, water, medicine, fuel for everyone, the population will keep increasing until one of those items is depleted and then we'll be in the same boat we are today. And while the human population is increasing, other resources will be decreasing, be it rain forest, sea level, the wolf population, or something else.
I'm too old to think this will happen in my lifetime. What I fear for my offspring is a hiccup in the food supply. Say, for example, a widespread disease kills 80% of the wheat or cows or rice or shrimp. The haves will be at war with the have-nots and s*** will hit the fan.
Worse than Covid, I have feared that smallpox could evolve again. I tried to have my children vaccinated, but they refuse to do it (2 fatalities per million vaccinations). Smallpox has a fatality rate far greater than Covid.

If you have nont read it, may I suggest that you read 'I am Pilgrim' by Terrey Hayes ( an Aussie who wrote some of the Max scripts ) Brilliant and topical novel. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Am_Pilgrim
