Welles' accent used to be a major distraction for me but now I find it part of the film's charm. Same could be said for a blonde Rita. P.S. Knives Out is well worth a look, Craig's outrageous accent is fun and the "political message" in the film doesn't get in the way. Craig's accent is so over the top! Love it!

I'm so out of touch with 21st century films ... That is an alarming disability! If it is, it's not one that alarms me especially, and is merely added to a list of others that have come with advancing years. As compensation, I focus my attentions toward areas of the preceding century's film history I've missed or neglected. I guess that's a form of prejudice, but what the hell; I'm gettin' to be a crotchety, set-in-my ways codger. That's not to say I refuse to watch any films produced since the turn of the millennium. I saw one just the other day, but damned if I can remember this morning what it was.
