America from Mexico City playing against Los Angeles FC for a spot in the CONCACAF Champions League final. With America ahead by 1 goal to nil near the end of the first half, Eduard Atesta from LAFC falls down. America's goalkeeper Ochoa (also of the Mexican national team, if I am not mistaken) approaches him. Atesta gets up. Ochoa goes down as if Atesta had head-butted him or something. Atesta gets a red card. Fortunately for LAFC, being a man down doesn't stop them from scoring three goals in the second half and booking their ticket to the final. It looks like Ochoa pulled a Rivaldo (remember the infamous incident from the Brazil x Turkey match in the 2002 World Cup?), although from the angle of the video in the tweet I can't be entirely sure that Atesta didn't hit Ochoa.

I saw some severe fcuked bs during TFC's run through Mexico a couple years ago. There needs to be more than just VAR. It's the f'n 21st century.

Now that VAR exists, I really wish it were used to stamp diving. You are caught diving, you are suspended for five matches. Second time, ten matches. And so on.
