I’m assuming it will probably be a hard PG-13, since I’d think that WB will still want to sell Lego sets, but what if the movie were to receive an R-rating by the MPAA? Would people be okay with that, or would that be seen as a complete betrayal of what Batman stands for?
Also, before anyone says it, yes, I’m aware that Batman was originally made for kids, hence the existence of Robin.

It would raise my interest further. Just watching the trailer, I wouldn't be surprised if it was an R.

I would be fine with it.

I'd be fine with it. I like my Batman dark.

It’s PG-13 for “strong violence, disturbing content, drug content, strong language, and some suggestive material.”

I would not react at all.

It’s PG-13 for “strong violence, disturbing content, drug content, strong language, and some suggestive material.” So leaning more towards The Dark Knight territory.

The ratings description sounds a lot more intense than the one for TDK. This is possibly the most excessive MPAA description I’ve ever seen for a PG-13 movie.

It’ll be an R rating. Joker was. It’s already been given a PG-13.

It’s already been given a PG-13. Then it will suck. The Batman will suck because it’s not rated R?

It’s already been given a PG-13. Then it will suck. We don’t need an R-rated Batman movie. If anything, I’m more concerned that the movie will come under fire for being too scary/violent for kids.

Reading the MPA description makes it look like a textbook R-rating, then it’s PG-13. Could be interesting.
It wasn’t until I thought about it a bit that I realized maybe an R-rating would make WB more money at this point. Similar effect of what that rating did for Deadpool and Joker.
I’m glad it’s PG-13, but if they were ever going to do an R-rating for Batman, this was probably it.

I wonder if there is an R-rated cut.

I'd have reacted the same as I am with the PG-13 it ultimately received...with disinterest.

The Batman will suck because it’s not rated R? If they are fighting Gotham City crime using PG-13 measures, then yes. Lmaooooo nice joke

I wouldn't have had a problem with the new movie being R-rated. Granted, I've read arguments that if BATMAN 1989 was made today, it'd probably get an R-rating.

The Batman's Irish rating seems to confirm that there's mild sex and nudity. Wasn't there a rumor about Colin Farrell's Penguin operating a strip club or something?
