Yea, we were there mid 80's & I said I would love to retire there. I gave that up quite a while ago...unfortunately not the same Greece as it was.

We're having Schwan's Shepherd's Pie today (but I think it should be called cottage pie because its not lamb, it's prime rib). Remember the discussions on the old F&D board about what is shepherd's pie and what is cottage pie?

WKM, I miss getting Schwan's. mr sunshine was asking about the chicken breast tenders that we used to get and wondered if any other brand would be the same. I haven't seen anything like them in our store. My mom used Schwan's quite alot after she quit cooking as much for her and my dad. I would order and have our stuff left at her house when I was working, as she had a big freezer. After my dad passed away, she doesn't order anymore.

Schwan has come out with some new chicken entree's, i.e. herbed garlic chicken (no coating), Italian style oven baked chicken breasts, some apple thing WKD loves - you should check them out online. I requested delivery every 4 weeks instead of the usual 2.

I finally found some of Prego's Farmer's Market Marianna Sauce (I bought 2 jars), it had disappeared from the local shelves for several months. I brown some ground chuck, add 2 tablespoons of sugar and 2 tablespoons of parmesan/Romano cheese and pour it over linguini.

"Mustard mashed taters!" I've not heard of that. But, so many things combine well with mashed taters. Do you use Dijon/spicy/yellow/a combination?
I'm having my fairly usual home cooked burger, on toasted sourdough. And, I have a 3-bean salad "marinating" in the fridge. I usually put together a combo of oil, vinegar, herbs. But, recently I was in a Sur La Table, and saw an Italian dressing mix. So, I'm trying that for seasoning to the oil/vinegar.

My mom made great scalloped corn and added oysters to it. My brother asked for it every year for his birthday and it was delicious!
I'm cooking some stir fry type beef and mushrooms at the moment. Not sure what it will become later. Probably two meals - add Chinese vegetables and rice for one meal and make a stew with the other half. That way we don't have the same leftovers!

I'm doing my Saturday night burger, home cooked. With that, I'll have some 3-bean salad that I made a few days ago. I tried using a powdered mix for Italian dressing for the marinade ... along with oil/vinegar, onion and parsley. It's pretty good. The dressing mix is from "Sur La Table," which I like.
Unfortunately, they've closed their stores, here. Now, I have to drive about an hour, to get to the nearest one.
