And they have indeed been poor. Why can't a team just turn up when you expect them to? It's only Brighton. But Brighton have been decent. Moyes had better shake it up for the second portion.

Yarmelenko? Haller? Can any West Ham player show us something? Yes, one can! Benny Johnson has levelled it up on the hour. He finishes with finesse from Lanzani's ball. Can they capitalize on this new-found inspiration now?

No, they can't - they do the opposite because they have allowed a Brighton build-up which telegraphed its path. Soucek couldn't clear and Dunk slammed it home from Trossard and March's previous foreplay. VAR checks for hands on Dunk but the goal stands for 1-2. Pathetic from West Ham.

Two-two! Brighton are gonna be kicking themselves after this game. Tomas Soucek has gone some way towards nicking a point in the closing minutes. Cresswell's cross comes in unchallenged and Soucek is first to it and fires it home with his head. Four minutes plus added.

You have to ask why the visitors didn't come out and finish this off second half instead of sitting back on a nothing-one and allowing an up-to-that-point indifferent home side back into it. West Ham were not very good overall but neither were Brighton.
It took an act of quality blagging to secure a point for Hammers and there isn't a pickpocketer along Oxford Street who wouldn't be proud of it, the thieving bastards (the pickpockets, not West Ham, the Hammers at least did some honest toil for their purse)
