Mix of total campiness and one of the most messy and incomprehensible screenplays you can think of
Did the crew behind those 2000s Fantastic Four movies take over for this one?

Yeah this was terrible. It felt like whoever was involved with the first movie was not involved in this and they got a new team working on it, but nope it was the EXACT SAME PEOPLE!!!

Actually the screenplay was written by different people. For the first movie it was a guy named Allan Heinberg with input from Jason Fuchs and believe it or not, Zack Snyder. This time around it was Patty Jenkins, Geoff Johns (who oddly is a DC comics writer) and David Callaham (who's gonna be the sole writer for that upcoming Shang-Chi movie).

No wonder it sucked. Yikes one of the writers is writing Shang-chi? Oof.

I’ve heard zero good things about it...other than Gal Gadot looked great.

I really liked the first film, but I don't know if I'll even bother with this one; there's something about it that seems very off-putting to me.

It's not that bad. It's campy in exactly the same way Superman II is except that the script is not nearly as straightforward or good...& this is coming from a guy who is not into the Reeve's Superman movies.
I loved the beginning and setup, then it gores completely off the rails in the middle - Very convoluted and no real idea of the stakes or even what either of the bad guys objectives.
However, the final third actually ties it all together and the music is fantastic although they seemed to have abandoned Wonder Woman's theme for something different and, while good, it is also generic.
I think Zack Snyder is a terrible writer. I don't think he has a hint of ability to tell a story. The onyl reason Man of Steel only kindas works storywise is because he was tutored by a few people.
However what he is is a fantastic action choreographer and it is clear from this move that he had no influence in it whatsoever as opposed to the first Wonder Woman. Patti Jenkins is not a good action director and I'm very worried for her Star Wars movie although I assume Disney will lock that mess down. Everything looked cheap and phony even if the budget was larger.
I do think she's good with characters. I had no issues with Wiig, Pascal, Pine, or Gadot.
Pine's coming back is explained good enough considering the messiness of the story except the way he comes back kinda seems like a bad guy move.

It was awful, truly stupid and weirdly anti-human for the DCEU's only optimistic hero, but I'll say it's ridiculousness saved it from falling to the worst crime a superhero movie can commit-- being boring. I was thoroughly entertained by it the entire 2.5 hours. I'd give it a 6.5/10

I do remember Jenkins saying that she's a huge fan of Richard Donner's Superman. That's well and good. But I think she also borrowed something (or a lot of things) from Richard Lester as well.

That is far to high of a rating for an awful movie. 2/10 would make more sense of a rating if you think the movie is awful.

Do they not offer dictionary home delivery where you come from?

Should have kept Zack Snyder on as a writer. Not alone, but he is a great idea man. Then you take his ideas and flesh them out with a better writer.
You can’t tell me the “No mans land” scene in Wonder Woman (2017) wasn’t all Snyder. And it was my favorite part.

Kristen has always been attractive it's her onscreen gal pals including Melissa McCarthy that drag her down. If Wonder Woman 2 was about Wonder Woman and Kirsten Wiig as Cheetah uniting again Cheetah's abusive colleague and costar Melissa McCarthy then that would've been a better movie.
