Where does Ego rank among the MCU's villains?
I guess there's no real poll for this, but do you put him above Stane? Loki? Red Skull? Winter Soldier? Pierce? or where?

Right now I'd put him 3rd. Loki being first and Winter Soldier 2nd. Zemo gets 4th place.

I'd put him at third. The only reason that he's above the Winter Soldier is because Bucky eventually took back his mind and became good, so he's not a "pure" villain like Ego. Loki and Red Skull are above him. Skull only gets the edge because Weaving played him so well and I liked his look.

I appreciate that you provide ample warning in your thread title, ArArArchStanton however; you should consider using the spoiler tag on your opening question. My top five:
1. Alexander Pierce
2. Loki
3. Zemo
4. Aldrich Killian
5. Winter Soldier
The only reason WS is so low is because as bad ass as he is, as a villain he was pretty one note. Not much dialog, just a Terminator with long hair. Don't get me wrong, he's still awesome (still top five!), but I felt like the guys I listed above gave me more to chew on from a philosophical standpoint. They had real motivation and a vision for what they wanted to do.
Not only is Iron Man 3 overlooked as a film, Killian is incredibly undervalued as a character. I dig his comments in the final fight about how Tony's tech is already antiquated; he's just a man in a shell while extremis makes Killian truly a living weapon. They really should do more with extremis in the future of the MCU.
I think I'd place Ego sixth. It's fun that he doesn't see himself as the villain, then again who does? He's kind of a silly character with an edgier side, but that's what the script called for. I got a kick out of the giant dioramas on his home world. Sounds like something a 'god' would do; build little shrines to himself. He's certainly better than cardboard cutouts like Ronan and Red Skull.

I love Zemo. I'll admit I'm one of those who isn't in love with IM3, but I actually am truly glad that you are. I think all of these films are awesome.

just behind Loki. probably tied with Fisk. Fisk has been really damn good hasn't he. I was never a big fan of Denofrio until that, but I am now. He absolutely nailed it, and the way they have build him up, I'm hoping he gets into the films.
